ABSTRACT: This study examines strategies for addressing cultural stereotypes in vocational career paths, focusing on promoting diversity and inclusivity in vocational education. The objectives were to (1) identify prevalent cultural stereotypes affecting vocational career choices, (2) evaluate the impact of these stereotypes on student enrollment and career decisions, and (3) propose strategies to challenge and overcome cultural biases. A survey design was employed to gather data from students, educators, and industry professionals, providing insights into the influence of cultural stereotypes. The sample size included 180 participants, selected through a purposive sampling technique to ensure a diverse representation of cultural backgrounds. The case study focused on Kaduna State, Nigeria, a region with a rich cultural diversity. Findings indicated that cultural stereotypes significantly influenced vocational career choices, often discouraging students from pursuing certain trades. Effective strategies to combat these stereotypes included awareness campaigns, inclusive curricula, and mentorship programs. Recommendations included integrating cultural sensitivity training into vocational education, promoting role models from diverse backgrounds, and fostering partnerships with community organizations to support inclusive career pathways.
